Stroke: mechanical thrombectomy, a medical revolution still too little used

Every year in France, 150,000 people suffer from a stroke, one every 4 minutes. Contrary to popular belief, all ages are concerned, since some 1,000 children are also affected. According to Santé publique France, stroke is the leading cause of death among women, with lung cancer, with 18,343 deaths in 2013, and the third among men (13,003 deaths).
